Job Description

A Manager, Telecommunication Systems is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, provisioning, and maintenance of CMH's telecommunication systems, infrastructure, voice applications, circuit facilities, call center solutions, call recording, and messaging infrastructure. In addition, the telecom team supports cable television services, the hospital's distributed antenna system and paging services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, engineering and 5-7 years experience in technical and management experience

  • OR High School diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years of experience

  • Significant experience in the Operations, Administration, Maintenance, and Provisioning of large, distributed, enterprise voice and messaging systems

  • Strong knowledge of call center design and operations preferred

  • Knowledge of PSTN and Inter-exchange carrier networks to include SIP trunking

  • Familiarity with carrier circuit design, provisioning and installation processes

  • Strong knowledge of circuit testing and troubleshooting techniques

  • Strong technical knowledge of complex voice network systems and troubleshooting techniques

  • Must be able to both work independently with minimal supervision and be able to effectively support teams performing installation, maintenance, and/or testing functions under critical deadlines.

  • Experience in the planning, design, engineering, implementation and operation of cost-effective, voice, TCP/IP WAN/LAN and wireless networks utilizing traditional and next generation technologies preferred

  • IP network knowledge and experience to include VoIP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS preferred

  • Strong knowledge of performance management systems

  • Ability to analyze network utilization and performance data.

  • A record of providing excellent customer service

  • Must be able to effectively and professionally handle stressful situations

  • Strong Project Management skills

  • Experience in developing technical standards, guidelines, and best practices

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required

  • Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently
