Job Description:

The Analytics Services team is responsible for creating cutting edge analytics based on Cerner’s business intelligence and data warehousing solutions. These solutions leverage the technology of Tableau, Business Objects, ArcGIS, Snowflake, Vertica and process automation scripting to provide our clients with the capability to consolidate clinical and financial data in order to facilitate powerful reporting and analytics. This job will have an emphasis on State and Public Health, specifically the Medicaid environment. As a rapidly expanding market, this position offers leadership opportunities to define first of its kind process and technology innovations.

Reporting and Analytics integrates data from claims, EHR, HIE and SDOH sources to support reporting, research, and State Medicaid process optimization. As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will consult with clients to develop and execute broad technical analytics strategies leveraging Cerner analytic solutions and services to address client-specific business challenges. This position offers a lot of opportunities to build client relationships by consulting with them on complex data acquisition, data integration and analysis projects across financial, clinical, and operational venues, and identifying opportunities to deliver client value through analytics, and lead road mapping for analytics-based initiatives. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • At least 4 years of SQL and report building work experience

  • At least 3 years working directly with clients to design solutions and influence client priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience processing and analyzing medical claim data

  • At least 3 years of health care IT project management, sales or consulting work experience

  • At least 3 years of computer programming related to process automation, application program interfaces and data transformation


  • Willing to travel up to 60% as needed

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Must reside within 60 miles of a virtually approved city
