H&R Block Marketing Manager in KANSAS CITY, Missouri
What you'll do... :
As Marketing Manager for email, you will own a share of Block’s Consumer Tax business portfolio and lead, recommend, develop and execute strategies through the channel in support of various products, services and revenue goals. As a SME, you will have a healthy mix of strategic, creative and analytical thinking with solid familiarity or direct experience in technical execution. Duties include, but are not limited to:
In collaboration with internal business and external agency partners:
Compile campaign briefs covering audience target and content with technical documentation.
Develop and implement email campaigns, in context of the client journey.
Facilitate target data processing and QA; assisting with live test email QA;
Provide approvals for deployments & monitor campaign deliverability.
Share pulse reporting and present results of campaigns.
Work closely with cross-functional team members to align email tactics with channel best practices, program requirements and syncopate on strategic direction.
Ensure that email creative contents are compliant with preferences and protocols established by internal Brand, Legal and Compliance groups, as well as any outside parties requiring signature of materials prior to market release.
Adhere to relevant domestic legislation which governs the commercial email space (i.e. CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, measure and report on campaign KPIs as well as provide insights and recommendations to improve performance and optimize effectiveness in concert with business objectives.
Make data-driven decisions and identify new opportunities for growth and efficiencies.
Stay apprised and share information related email marketing trends and tech news which could impact commercial emailers or client inbox experiences; author POVs occasionally required.

What you'll bring to the team... :
Bachelor’s degree in related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience
3+ years of experience in CRM or email marketing, including strategic planning and direct/indirect involvement with technical execution platforms
Experience with (though not necessarily expertise) of the principles of database marketing, including segmentation, modeling, test designs and measurement
Ability to share and simplify complex concepts, ideas and results to less familiar or less technical minded audiences
Strong communication, persuasion and presentation skills across all levels of the organization, including VP and above
Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills
