Job Description:

Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a Manager, Pharmacy Services for a new on-site health center for a large, local employer in Kansas City, MO! This health center has a proactive, educative approach where employees and their dependents are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.

As a Pharmacy Manager, you will manage the operations of a clinical pharmacy setting to maximize member experience, clinical outcomes, and financial management. You will also lead, direct and review the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and department; establish and communicate team goals that support and advance team and department objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress understand and explain policies, practices and procedures within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team; identify, propose and lead a team/department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; and participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the department-level. You will deliver consistent and timely training, guidance and feedback to encourage and promote associate success and growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities; provide primary input and recommendations on staffing and performance decisions for direct reports, and manage a team of associates.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:

  • 1 year community and/or clinical pharmacy work experience

  • 7 years higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:

  • Doctorate: Pharmacy or Bachelor's: Pharmacy as required for appropriate license

  • Licensed Pharmacist - Missouri

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience

Expectations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Must currently reside in, or near, Kansas City, MO
