What your role entails and how you’ll contribute:

The Enterprise Architect links the cloud strategies to multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner. Responsible for generating architecture policies, standards and procedures. Partners with service delivery teams to create the application, data and technology designs for new services. Applies enterprise-level architectures to his/her scope. The T&BE Architects are technology portfolio managers, owning end-to-end T&BE process for the technology portfolio, including ideation, designing, building, deployment, support, monitoring and debugging. Aligns technology architecture with process portfolios, external research and strategy development. Delivers and ensures architectural direction and compliance that is practical, achievable and meets the business needs. Emphasis can be placed on one to many architectural disciplines, including business, data, technology, application, and services.

At Hallmark our Information Technology (IT) division is vital to helping Hallmark win in the marketplace. We play a leadership role in identifying, developing and managing technology and process solutions; we pro-actively partner with business areas to develop new capabilities, build reliable solutions and efficiently manage the corporation’s investment in technology and end-to-end processes.


  • Determine/create/plan/design business architecture linked to business architecture while factoring in signifcant internal and external drivers that influence the business

  • Understand and align with strategic and portfolio architecture

  • Determine architecture standards and agenda (process, application, data, technology)

  • Define data, application, and technical architecture and determine architecture trade-offs

  • Deliver technology in support of T&BE services and provide recommendations for technology components and data structures

  • Address technology/data related issues in the design, engineering and deployment phases of a project

  • Synthesize, prioritize, frame and communicate strategies

  • Provide a point of view regarding priorities, gap analysis, and implications

  • Tracks and documents value realization of enterprise architecture work

  • Develop a process to ensure re-use and define new re-use opportunities

  • Prioritization of new services and align innovation opportunities to T&BE strategy

  • Define the requirements and direct the build of development, test, and production environments

  • Manages governance by establishing measurements and conducting assessments of performance or development against standards

  • Provides recommendations to standards, policy, and contract owners


    The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum 10+ years of information technology experience

    This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate. The salary range for this job, is between $93,750 and $175,000. Salary will take into consideration several factors including location and role level. This role is a annual bonus eligible role in addition to base salary.
