The Kansas City Fed has an exciting opportunity to oversee diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within our organization. The KC Fed is located in Kansas City, Missouri, and has branch offices in Denver, Oklahoma City, and Omaha, representing the Tenth District seven-state region. Your role as a DE&I Specialist will support the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and reports directly to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager. The Diversity and Inclusion Specialist performs a variety of duties including project management responsibilities across multiple programs and functions, helping to advance the DE&I strategy internally and externally with collaborative partners and stakeholders, and providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams committed to advancing DE&I at District- and system-levels. The DE&I Specialist must be able to develop and complete a variety of complex projects and work with minimal guidance. They should value the Bank’s commitment to service, integrity, inclusion, innovation and growth and development.
Working closely with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team, this position will support critical components of DE&I strategy, including, but not limited to:
Develop and cultivate partnership with strategic stakeholders to increase candidate pool for the Bank’s board, councils, workforce and suppliers.
Partner with appropriate internal and external DE&I stakeholders to plan and host DE&I programs.
Disseminate relevant DE&I resources and publications to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely and coordinated manner including comprehensive reports.
Serve as an advisor and coordinator for internal, employee-led groups.
Support cross-functional efforts to advance DE&I at District- and system-levels.
Author or co-author articles and resource materials.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
Typically requires at least three years or more of relevant experience.
Incumbent must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless the Bank grants an accommodation based on a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.
