Provides pharmaceutical care to all patients consistent with the goals and objectives of the hospital and the pharmacy department. In providing this care, the pharmacist must review all drug orders and judge the appropriateness of those orders, i.e. appropriate drug, dose, frequency, etc. Drug related problems, such as potential allergic reactions, drug interactions, and other problems, must be identified and resolved. The pharmacist must also oversee the activities of supportive personnel working in the area. Pharmacists are expected to focus the full potential of their knowledge and experience on the assessment and improvement of patient care.

  • Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

  • Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

  • Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department.

  • Maintains competence required for current job title/position.


  • Bachelor's Degree Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training

  • One of the following: Licensed Pharmacist - MO (required), Licensed Pharmacist - KS

  • PHARM LIC KS Licensed Pharmacist - KS Both Kansas & Missouri license required if practicing at CHK

  • PHARM LIC MO Licensed Pharmacist - MO Both Kansas & Missouri license required if practicing at CHK

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $48.49, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
