The Hallmark Gifts business is exciting, fast-paced, established, and multi-faceted. It includes end-to-end management of the gifts category, which includes both Hallmark-created gift items and buying from other well-known brands to be featured in our Gold Crown stores. A small portion of our portfolio includes a line of gift formats sold to non-specialty and general merchandise stores like Wal-Mart.

Our distinct and differentiated gift formats lead the industry in certain categories, such as plush and books and feature innovation and technology components. We have a wide range within our offering that is competitive and differentiated in the marketplace. THE ASSORTMENT PLANNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The Assortment Planner creates SKU level revenue and inventory plans and reconciles them to overall financial targets. This position partners with merchants, allocation planning, merchandise planning, and demand and inventory planning to build assortments that maximize productivity and profitability while simultaneously managing risk.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Re-forecasting current seasons and future seasons as a reaction to sales and inventory available.

  • Working with Demand and Inventory Planners to ensure we have the inventory needed to fund our revenue goals.

  • Work with the merchants to help plan and determine promotional, marketed, and high visibility skus; such as those pulled to the front of store for seasonal displays.

  • Analyzing the assortment and delivering insights and actions.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of professional work experience

  • Minimum 2 years of assortment planning, demand planning, or retail forecasting experience

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, consensus-building, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong analytical aptitude with proven ability to analyze and interpret data.

  • Ability to work confidently with personnel at all organizational levels.

  • Must be flexible and adaptable to the demands of a fast-paced environment and managing multiple demands and priorities
