In this Senior Solution Engineer role, you will be involved in performing critical data mapping functions, including analysis and translation of business, data and functional requirements or business rules into documented requirements and data delivery specifications. You will be performing mapping of enterprise data attributes from servicing systems and applications across the Citizens enterprise into the Risk & Finance Data Solution. On a daily basis, you will support a variety of projects to analyze new and improved requirements and will participate in and lead segments in the collection and transformation of various data elements. You should be able to work both independently and with technical resources to translate business requirements to technical requirements.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Identifying where data gaps may exist between internal client needs against available information housed with the Risk & Finance Data Solution.

• Profiling field level data to identify unexpected content and to confirm source data is as described in bank documentation.

• Work with business users and other stakeholders to understand business functions and processes in order to define analytic and reporting requirements and data and metadata requirements from bank systems systems and / or third party data sources.

• Accountable for clearly and accurately documenting the mapping for lineage and transformation of record and field data as it migrates between a variety of sources and targets.

• Effectively working and profiling big data sources using SQL across a wide variety of different product “Systems Of Record”.

• Providing instruction and ongoing support to technical programming resources to ensure mapping documentation is clear and well understood.

• Providing support to downstream data warehouse users under direction and supervision of peers, business analysts, solution architects and developers.

• Identifying and correcting data mapping errors and report them to supervisors

• Resolving data mapping issues by following detailed analysis procedures and consulting directly with source system subject matter experts

• Maintaining meeting notes related to mapping needs, activities and completed work as requested by management

• Comfortable verbally explaining options and your recommendations to peers and superiors.

• Balance solution alternatives against key factors such as long-term effectiveness, cost, technical limitations, practicality given time available, and mission criticality.

  Qualifications - External

• 5 years of work experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a large data environment preferably with banking experience

• 1 or more years of data mapping experience

• Technical Documentation— using MS 365 Suite

• Experience communicating with stakeholders including upstream and downstream SMEs.

• Technical aptitude and working knowledge of DBeaver SQL generator or comparable query tool to analyze data, delimited extract files / tables,

• Strong experience with SQL including writing complex queries in a big data environment.

• Strong analytical and systemic thinking, problem solving skills

• Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation skills to explain examples of unexpected data

• Accounting and reconciliation skills preferred

• Ability to make forward progress and sound decisions in ambiguous situations

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects to completion and to switch between projects quickly

• Experience with SDLC and Agile Methodologies.

• Self-Starter comfortable working independently or as part of a team

• Tableau, WebFocus or other BI tool experience preferred

• Experience with AWS & Snowflake technologies a plus

  Education and Certifications

  Bachelor's Degree in Business, Quantitative Analysis, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics, Preferred Master's Degree in any of above disciplines

  Hours & Work Schedule

  Hours per Week: 40 Hours

  Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
