Citizens Senior HR Finance Manager in Johnston, Rhode Island

Description

The Senior Financial Manager will be an integral member of the Human Resources Finance team within Corporate Planning & Enterprise Finance. The HR Finance team supports the Human Resources and Corporate Affairs lines of business for Citizens Financial Group (CFG). HR Finance also manages the financials for CFG's annual incentive plans and corporate employee benefits such as pension, 401K and medical/dental.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the lines of business to deliver high quality HR information supporting business reporting and planning.

  • Provide monthly financial presentations and headcount results to each business head with appropriate commentary.

  • Facilitate an orderly monthly/quarterly/annual accounting close process.

  • Develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts with business partners and external plan administrators.

  • Manage the tracking of cost efficiency programs, as required.

  • Partner with HR Rewards team to manage accruals for annual incentive plans and reconcile plans as they vest.

  • Work with Accounting Policy group to ensure incentive and benefits expenses are recorded in accordance with US GAAP.

  • Prepare CCAR financials for HR business line and Corp annual incentive plan.

  • Maintain a strong control environment to achieve superior audit and operating risk rating, while focusing on continual process improvement opportunities.

    Required Skills/Experience:

  • 8-10 years of direct experience in business unit financial management.

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the big picture, while working through the operational details required to construct a forecast/budget.

  • Detailed oriented, diligent with strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with business partners.

  • Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently.

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Essbase and Oracle experience a plus.

    Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.

  • Master’s Degree or MBA a plus

    Hours & Work Schedule

    Hours per Week: 40

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00
