Citizens Private Client Senior Strategy Manager in Johnston, Rhode Island

Citizens Sales Strategy & Development Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Client Senior Strategy Manager, who will drive and communicate progress on the Private Client growth strategy as well as partner across the Consumer Bank to infuse the Private Client value proposition into our client relationships. The Private Client proposition offers tailored banking and wealth management solutions to our affluent clients. This individual will need to analyze the current state of the business and partnership routines, as well as competitors and industry trends, to progress the strategic agenda. This role will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders on strategic initiatives, distribution processes and routines, executive storytelling/presentations, and other key touchpoints. The outcome(s) of these efforts may significantly impact the success of Private Client’s strategic plan. Therefore, you must be adaptable to change and have strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Success in this role will be grounded in the ability to influence at the senior executive level, distill complex problems and systems into digestible formats, develop insight from financial, quantitative, and qualitative data, and leverage critical thinking to develop actionable strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in development, monitoring, and communication of Private Client’s growth strategy supporting ongoing monitoring and measurement

  • Identify, diagnose, and prioritize improvement opportunities for Private Client in collaboration with key stakeholders

  • Provide strategic analysis, definition, and consultation to Private Client leadership and their teams

  • Execute strategic initiatives to drive the business forward

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve objectives, developing and communicating clear roadmaps/implementation plans

  • Enhance partnership routines between Private Client and other distribution teams (e.g., Mortgage, Business Banking, Retail, Wealth, etc.)

  • Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and foster productive relationships

  • Develop high-quality presentations for various levels of the organization for a variety of purposes (e.g., internal colleague calls, executive and senior management forums, management and partnership routines, ad hoc requests, etc.)

  • Facilitate development of materials from various stakeholders as needed

  • Ensure integrity of the data being used in materials

  • Collaborate with Colleague Enablement teams to provide training and development content and tools for Private Client colleagues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in financial services, preferably in retail and wealth strategy, sales support, or program/project management role(s)

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and create executive level reporting and presentations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate financial data and translate into actionable insights

  • Strong management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies that drive growth and profitability

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on driving results

  • Strategic mindset and ability to think long-term while also executing short-term goals

Hours & Work Schedule

• Hours per Week: 40

• Work Schedule: M-F

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
