Citizens Learning and Development Program Manager- Software Engineering in Johnston, Rhode Island

As an Engineering program manager, you will manage and oversee the delivery of the Learning & Development strategy for core functions of Technology and Cyber Security. You will support new products and processes from an HR lens, with a particular focus on the technology needs of the enterprise bank. You’ll consult with key business leaders and HR partners to ensure the development needs — technical, product and professional — of the business are met. This role is an opportunity to implement an inclusive, programmatic people agenda across the organization and help our colleagues advance their knowledge of key concepts in the fast-paced world of Technology. Role requires the right candidate to maintain a finger on the pulse of the external market and be able to influence executives with subject matter expertise, presence and diplomacy. You will focus on enabling colleagues to create value and enhance their careers while driving quickly with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

Provide a broad range of consultative services aimed at developing and implementing learning strategies and programs

Support strategic development products and services including Leadership and Executive Development,

Performance Management, Colleague Engagement, Coaching and Culture/Change Leadership

Maintain an understanding of business line strategy and operating environment to develop and recommend learning solutions that support objectives

Design courses, workshops and more that help our colleagues advance their skills and knowledge, keeping in mind a colleague base with diverse backgrounds and experiences

Drive alignment among individual, business unit and corporate objectives by delivering meaningful business solutions, based on comprehensive data review and analysis

Build relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate within and across Development, HR and Technology to align initiatives

Maintain an understanding of specific technology industry trends, guidelines, or standards that may arise, and share relevant insights with stakeholders

Set objectives, deliver programs and measure the results and impact of development initiatives in the business

Ability to take concepts from ideation to execution quickly

Required Skills/Experience

  • Experience with Talent Management and Organizational Development practices

  • Experience assessing, customizing and delivering development strategies and programs and organizational interventions

  • Demonstrated experience building partnerships and working in a matrix operating model

  • Experience consulting, facilitation, coaching and leading teams in performance improvement strategies that result in higher performance

  • Experience driving programs that support, change management and executive engagement in support of business strategy

  • Critical thinking with demonstrated ability to anticipate future needs, analyze processes end-to-end, and break down complex issues into manageable components

  • Strong business acumen with exceptional relationship management skills

  • Superior communication, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in an a sometimes ambiguous environment

  • Strategic thinker with ability to pivot and switch to tactical execution quickly

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Understanding or prior experience working through Agile transformation and Client Integrations would be a plus

  • Experience in Program, Project, and Process Management, SDLC (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) preferred

  • Prior experience working in Technology or Cyber Security and Delivery preferred

  • Visionary – big picture thinker, creative, innovative to help reimagine the possible

  • Prior experience designing/implementing development programs for Technology and Security organizations/teams preferred

Education:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $ 123,660 - $ 206,100 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
