DevOps Engineer

job summary:

Summary:

  • Candidate will be responsible for Quartz DevOps across PBMRT.

  • Monitor and manage infrastructure (Windows, Linux & database servers), footprint, usage.

  • Capacity planning in PROD and lower lane environments.

  • Develop better release/packaging & automated test tools.

  • Coordinate various infra upgrades, such as patches, upgrades, GIS vulnerabilities, etc..

  • Develop monitoring dash boards, senior management reporting of the state of the infrastructure

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role).

  • Experience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus.

  • Familiar with both Windows and Unix/Linux environments and SQL Server database. Experience with Unix (shell scripting, navigation, file, and editing) and SQL languages

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot infrastructure/environment related issues

  • PROD and Lower lane management, application deployments, capacity management.

  • Experience with project management and tools, such as Agile, Jira, Scrum, etc.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.

  • communication skills and ability to explain to various stakeholders.

  • Must be a self-tarter, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree (BE, MS, etc.) and above
