Associate Director of Clinical Services Center for Psychological Services Job Description: Primary responsibilities will be to assist director in the coordination and oversight of the operation of the Center for Psychological Services. The Center for Psychological Services is the primary training site for the doctoral programs in clinical and school psychology at St. John's University. This will involve oversight of clinical services provided at the Center, office management, and supervision of administrative staff as well as provision of back-up emergency coverage (as needed). This position is a full-time position. These duties will include, but not be limited to the following: Monitor client flow by providing supervision of the preliminary process, doctoral fellows and case assignment; Provide back-up consultation on clinical issues if assigned supervisors are unavailable (or if supervisors need to consult with someone); Provide Center related training, as needed; Advising the director regarding relevant administrative matters and handling administrative issues in the director's absence; Working with the director and department chair to spearhead fundraising events; Coordinating logistics of special events sponsored by the Center, including speaker presentations, conferences, staff and supervisor meetings; Promoting Center activities by working with the SJU Marketing and Communications Department, Web Digest, and media advertising; facilitate publishing of Center brochures and formal outreach literature; Negotiate client fees; Oversight of Center crisis management plan with increased on-site support to student-therapists in clinical urgent situations. Work with programs to provide opportunities for graduate students to co-facilitate group therapy experiences and/or co-present educational workshops for Center families and/or community members. Teach one clinical supervision section as part of the administrative role, ideally for the beginning practicum students in order to provide more access for these students to clinical supervisor during the earlier phase of training when they are in need of the most support. This approach has enhanced student satisfaction and may help to increase student retention in the program. Coordinate periodic reviews of Center records to ensure timely documentation that is consistent with the ethical and legal standards of the field. Address and cover gaps in Clinical Doctoral Fellow schedules between semesters. Qualifications: Doctorate in Clinical or School Psychology Licensure as Psychologist in New York State Experience in the delivery and administration of psychological services Minimum three years experience in providing supervision of psychological services Administrative experience preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with professional staff, faculty, and students and fellow administrators Evening availability is a requirement Dedication to the Vincentian and global missions of the University All persons hired are required to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, subject to the reasonable accommodation provisions of applicable law.
