CVS Health Sr. Data Engineer in Irving, Texas

Job Description

Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Irving, TX: Sr. Data Engineer to Design and develop complex and largescale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data to generate meaningful insights and address reporting needs. Duties include: leverage big data and cloud technologies in support of Data operations with a common set of tools and infrastructure to make analytics faster, more insightful, and more efficient; define and maintain data architecture, focusing on applying technology to enable business solutions; assess and provide recommendations on business relevance; develop prototypes and proof of concepts for the selected solutions, and implement complex big data projects; collect, parse and help automate data feedback loops in support of business innovation; assist in the development of large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and addresses reporting needs; write ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, designs database systems, and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing; collaborate with client team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. designing and optimize queries to build data pipelines; build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems; build data marts and data models to support clients and other internal customers; and integrates data from a variety of sources.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 75,000

Maximum: 167,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Consultant, or related occupation. Position also requires experience in each of the following: Cloud or Big Data technologies including Snowflake or Hadoop; Big data platforms including Azure, Databricks, GCP, and AWS); Database technologies, including SQL Server and Teradata; and Scripting in Python or Unix.ORPosition requires seven (7) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Consultant, or related occupation. Position also requires experience in each of the following: Cloud or Big Data technologies including Snowflake or Hadoop; Big data platforms including Azure, Databricks, GCP, and AWS); Database technologies, including SQL Server and Teradata; and Scripting in Python or Unix.
