The Financial Planning and Analysis Consultant will report directly to the Manager of FP&A and will support the end to end analysis of profit & loss statements, reporting and budget & forecasting for the Aetna Better Health of Illinois Market covering 20% of the total Aetna Medicaid business revenue of $2.7 Billion and a membership of 400K (15% of state program). The Financial Planning and Analysis Consultant will be responsible for the modelling of the revenue, medical expense and/or SG&A projections and shall review with the Manager, FP&A for presentation to the Director as well as the Market CFO and Market CEO for enterprise submission. S/He will advise on latest updates from the state regarding rates adjustments/determinations and will support analysis of the financial impact as well as determine rate adequacy for state discussions. The Financial Planning and Analysis Consultant will assist in inquiries by both the state and the Illinois Association of Medicaid Health Plans regarding the Marketshare, data submission for the purpose of rate setting and medical trend analysis on behalf of the Health Plan. -Premium – Support analysis of any/all adjustments to state revenue by rate cell and product-Monthly Close – Revenue determination (reconciliation of remit files and calculation of revenue) for monthly external reporting by Enterprise Controllership-Forecasting – preparation of initial projected membership, premium and/or medical expense at product, region and rate cell level for review with Manager-G&A/Staffing – Support (creation and preliminary seeding) of all departmental budgets for the Health Plan inclusive of staffing & non-compensation expense, invoice process, manual payments and provider incentive payments-Medical Trend Analysis – support the monthly medical trend analysis inclusive of internal reporting to leadership on a daily basis, reporting of risk areas within medical lag and non-lag for mitigation by Clinical and Operational staff-Presentation and Materials – Creation and support of requisite and supplemental materials to assist in variance, close and forecast reporting to Finance leadership

Bachelor's Degree in Financial/Business discipline
