Our facility in Huntsville, AL has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance professional who wants to be part of our mission. What will a day in life look like for you as a Maintenance Specialist at our Huntsville site? Responsibilities will include:
•You will assess methods and the sequence of operations required to maintain and repair plant machinery and/or equipment
•You will exercise a complete knowledge of plant maintenance theory, practice, and procedure relevant to the repair of campus structures and support equipment such as heating and ventilating systems, pumps, production machinery and equipment, plant plumbing systems, wooden facilities structures and components such as doors, windows, and partitions
•You will determine methods and actions required to apply paint by brush, roller and spray painting to various surfaces in order to maintain the facilities and equipment appearance
•You will adhere to applicable codes, laws, and insurance carrier requirements
•You will work at various heights, operate and work from moving and/or telescoping boom vehicles and equipment as required, and you will clean and store equipment, tools, safety devices, protective clothing, etc.

•4 years of experience repairing plant, property, and equipment.
•Experience with water distribution systems (includes chilled water, heating/cooling systems, condensate return systems, steam traps, and heat exchanger systems).
•Experience with repairing industrial systems such as pumps, compressors, lifting equipment, bearings, shafts and gearboxes.
•Experience with troubleshooting and repairing infrastructure related subsystems (i.e. plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems).
•Experience with completing all facets of associated repair work including wall and tile repairs and painting as required
•Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights
•Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
•Proficient with basic computer systems (email, Microsoft Office applications)
•Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
•Operate general industrial tools and equipment such as drills, pipe threaders, drain snake, and emergency generators and pumps as required.
•Experience with all hand and power tools required to repair plant, property, equipment.
•Experience with mixing, blending, and matches various colors of paint to match for touch-up repairs.
•Prepares working and recording sketches as required, notes and materials needed.
