The Impact: As a Summer Intern within the Product Management Team, your contributions will help influence S&P Global Commodity Insights and our clients. You will collaborate with teams to develop innovative products and insights that empower clients—from oil and gas companies to regulators—to make strategic decisions in the evolving energy landscape. Your work will harness data science, AI, and market expertise to deliver actionable intelligence, fostering collaboration and ensuring our clients thrive in a complex global energy ecosystem.

We’re seeking candidates for our internship program as an Upstream Intern, North American Content which is part of our IMPACT Program. IMPACT (Innovative Mentoring and Professional Acceleration in Commodities) is one of our many programs within Commodity Insights aimed at developing early career talent globally. The internship program will run from. This internship will run from June to August.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Product Management Team to develop innovative products and insights for the upstream energy sector.
Analyze energy market data using data science and AI tools to deliver actionable intelligence.
Assist in researching trends and opportunities within the North American upstream oil and gas markets.
Support the creation of client-facing reports and presentations, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Foster cross-team collaboration to drive product development and strategic decision-making.
Contribute to enhancing client outcomes by identifying risks and opportunities in a dynamic energy landscape.
What We’re Looking For:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Energy, Data Science, Business, or a related field with a graduation date of May 2026.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, or similar) and experience working with large datasets.
Strong understanding or interest in the energy sector, particularly upstream oil and gas markets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating reports and presenting insights.
