Sysco Leave of Absence Senior Analyst in HOUSTON, Texas

Hybrid Role: In-office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Work from home on Thursday and Friday.

Job Summary:

The Leave of Absence Senior Analyst is responsible for analyzing and enhancing case management processes within the organization. This role involves conducting in-depth data analysis, providing insights for decision-making, and collaborating with various departments to improve client outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis: Analyze case management data to identify trends, outcomes, and areas for improvement.

  • Custom Reporting: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders. Prepare reports on leave utilization and trends for management review.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with leave analysts and leadership to implement best practices and optimize case management workflows including conducting cross vendor and active claim audits.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance reviews of case files to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Policy & Procedure Development: Assist in the development and refinement of case management policies and procedures including return to work transitional program and self-reporting through Workday.

  • Training: Provide training and support to case management staff on data interpretation and process improvement. Provide leadership to team of Leave Specialists

  • Service Delivery: Participate in cross-functional teams to address complex cases and improve service delivery and business accountability.

  • Benchmarking: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in case management and data analysis.

  • Escalated Leave Request Support: Oversee and manage the end-to-end process of employee leave requests, including FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Compensation and other leave policies. Ensure timely and accurate case management. Investigates claims of abuse or misuse. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all leave cases.

  • State/ Federal Regulation Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and company policies regarding leave of absence. Stay informed about relevant legislation and best practices to provide accurate advice.

  • Colleague Return to Work Process: Work closely with HR, payroll, and management to facilitate smooth transitions for employees returning from leave. Coordinate with healthcare providers and legal counsel as needed.

  • Accountability: Ensure colleagues and business units consistently and appropriately participate in transitional work program and return to work efficiently.

  • Process Improvement Support: Identify areas for process improvement within the leave of absence program and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, healthcare management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Extensive experience in case management or healthcare analysis, with a focus on data analysis.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with healthcare and LOA regulations and case management practices.

  • Ability to present complex data and findings in a clear and concise manner.

  • Experience with leave management software and tools.
