MD Anderson Cancer Center Chief Technology & Digital Officer in Houston, Texas

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Chief Technology and Digital Officer is responsible for strategic leadership of all technical aspects of the institution.

Additional responsibilities include:

•Directing the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure.

•Leading a strategic risk based approach to safeguard the integrity and availability of the organization's intellectual property and information technology assets.

•Working closely in conjunction with the senior institutional leadership across all mission and support areas to advance the goals of the mission of MD Anderson with a focus on innovative technology solutions.

•Providing strategy, leadership and direction on data, technology, and innovation across the institution. Monitors and analyzes technology and trends that could improve the institution's patient care, research and administrative activities.

•Leading the identification of infrastructure investments needed to enhance business and clinical operations of the institution.

•Serving as the public face of technology for the institution, tends to the internal wellbeing of the institution's technology and serves as the driving force for innovation. This includes serving as the institution's representative to The University of Texas System committees, task forces and professional organizations related to information technology and the Texas Department of Information Resources.

•Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to complete projects with focus on optimal outcomes and maximum utilization of technology resource.

•Leading the strategic oversight and guidance for the management and security of the institution's data in partnership with Information Security and local, state and federal entities.

•Acting as a positive change agent, respecting the culture while challenging the status quo.

Qualifications

•Master's Degrees in applicable areas of study.

• 10 years of progressive leadership experience as a proven leader in the area of technology and information systems within a large, complex organization.

•Strong innovative and operational acumen with the ability to lead and partner around a vision for outstanding healthcare delivery.

• Highly-effective leader who can both sit at the executive table, and relate to interdisciplinary teams at all levels of the institution.
