Job Description

The Principal Portfolio Leader will join the Corporate Risk and Technology Group to oversee the portfolio of technical initiatives that support multiple lines of including Corporate Risk, Marketing, and Operations.

  • Leads the Portfolio Management team that support Corporate Risk and Operations Technology organization.

  • Oversee the development and production of portfolio management reporting to leaders, business partners and teams in collaboration with product owners and managers.

  • Serves as a POC throughout the portfolio management process to ensure decisions are in line with company strategic and financial goals on an ongoing basis, working with cross functional product teams using Agile, Product Management & DevOps best practices.

  • Responsible for managing the portfolio aligned products by overseeing compliance with all processes and procedures associated with the intake, approval and tracking processes including the business case model, prioritization, approval processes, and reporting requirements throughout the life cycle of a product.

  • Understands key business objectives and strategy of the product, and supports other Portfolio Managers in meeting business objectives, OKRs (objectives and key results), customer needs, KPIs (key performance indicators), and financial targets.

  • Coordinates and facilitates activities of yearly and quarterly planning with Senior Leadership across Technology Teams and Business Lines.

  • Ensures end-to-alignment of the portfolio of business priorities to financial targets by collaborating and relaying dependencies within and across Product Owners in the Portfolio(s).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including executive level formal communication

  • Ability to communicate with all parties involved in the portfolio of products (programmers, third party vendors, end users, etc.)

  • Ability to work well with team-members and end user clients

  • In-depth and breadth of expertise in product discipline including agile, product management and DevOps practices and values

  • Strong leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure product goals and outcomes are met

  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00 - $193,490.00
