The purpose of this role is to provide a consolidated view of financial business performance and planning to business partnering teams across Pearson

Main Activities / Responsibilities:

Using data provided by all appropriate systems, prepare and deliver financial planning and analysis to business areas enabling effective business decision making. Do this by:

●Complete the processing of all technical responsibilities (see below) in a timely, efficient and accurate manner

●Understand where data comes from and how it is presented to enable application into the process in the right way

●Apply judgment and analytical skills to ensure the accuracy and relevance of outputs needed by the business

●Help to create a work atmosphere conducive to a high degree of integrity and teamwork

Technical Activities/Responsibilities:

●Create, review, analyze and update yearly budget all regions.

●Prepare and review quarterly budget for all regions

●Ability to process and review BPO Monthly Service Delivery invoices.

●Manage the on-boarding and off-boarding process for BPO contingent workers

●Basic understanding of the pricing concepts such as ARC/RRC, Monthly Service Charges, Transactional unit pricing

●Work closely with all Pearson stakeholders

●Responsible for all reporting related to BPO contract.

Qualifications

Part-qualified accountant with relevant experience in:

●Budgeting, planning, forecasting and management reporting (including variance analysis)

●Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both finance and non-finance professionals

●Experience in working in a Shared Service Center operational environment.

●Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (v-lookups, sum-ifs, pivot tables etc.)

●Experience of finance ERP systems (Oracle preferred but not essential)

●Good Problem Solving and Interpersonal skills

●A self-starter who is motivated to work under own initiative when required

●Ability to work as part of a team, identifying and providing support to colleagues
