Lockheed Martin Software Engineer - Web Developer C# and .NET - Entry Level in Hill Air Force Base, Utah

Description: The Viper team is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to be a part of a team that designs and develops enterprise web applications at Hill Air Force Base. The team builds software for the F-16 Fighter Jet community as well as internal software for other Lockheed Martin activities. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is an exciting company that continues to deliver breakthrough capabilities and landmark aircraft that has continually redefined flight for over 100 years.

The ideal candidate will work with a software engineering team to design, code, integrate, and test solutions for several web projects and back-end tools used by the team. This position will require the candidate to work with end-users, subject matter experts (SMEs), and work collaboratively as part of a team. A great attitude, a willingness to learn, adapt and own their solution is a key requirement. Candidates should have a passion for writing code and taking ownership in their project.

The team utilizes a wide variety of tech to automate process workflows and track essential activities. They develop systems using C#/.NET, responsive web design, APIs using AJAX/JSON, jQuery/JS, and SQL Server/Oracle databases. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding or desire to learn these and other web technologies. They will work with a high-performing team to design solutions, handle peer-reviews and must also be self-driven to drive the solution home. The team is embedded with the customer which creates a dynamic and group-oriented environment. Occasional travel is required for end-user support and requirements planning.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering associated discipline or field

• Minimum 1 year Software Development experience.

Desired Skills:

The following skills are desired but not required:

- Experience developing websites or web-integrated software

- C#, Python, or other web-related languages/toolkits

- Relation Databases such as Oracle or SQL Server

- Experience with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS)

- HTML, JS, SQL, XML or JSON Knowledge

- Software configuration management

- Technical writing

- Strong attention to detail
