CVS Health Senior Project Manager in High Point, North Carolina

Job Description

Responsible for leading and directing all aspects of large, complex employer group health benefit plan implementations in the National Account Employer space (5000 lives and up) and leading other large projects or initiatives as assigned. Partners with all key internal and external stakeholders (sales/account management/sales support and other internal business partners, consultants, brokers, and employer groups) to understand the customer’s strategy and intent regarding their employee benefits program and execute a successful implementation. Proactively identify and effectively address critical implementation/project issues ensuring customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.- Develops and executes implementation strategy consistent with customer expectations; Ensures strategy is administered in accordance with all performance guarantee arrangements. - Manages and oversees all facets of projects including setting objectives, planning, consulting with business stakeholders, progress tracking of implementation tasks, communicating status updates and identified risks. - Effectively manages implementation team dynamics and provides direction/coaching to fellow team members ensuring success of the overall implementation process; Engages team members to follow-through on their responsibilities and tasks. - Evaluates impact of customer-requested exceptions to benefit, processes and system standards and develops reasonable alternatives to satisfy client’s needs while minimizing impact on Aetna system’s and operations; Identifies, communicates and tracks cost sensitive items not included as part of the standard process and highlights them for consideration in the determination of rate adjustments or renewal activity, and to minimize expense gaps. - Collaborates on review, analysis, and development of recommendations for the design of complex account and benefit structures based on customers’ objectives and Aetna’s systems, administration, and reporting requirements. - Prepares and maintains documentation to support all phases of projects (planning, tracking, communications, etc.).- Applies critical thinking to identify and develop solutions in collaboration with business partners.- Identify gaps in processes or organization and challenge self and others to develop and implement solutions.- Exhibits flexibility to adjust to tight deadlines and changing project requirements.- Solicits and assesses internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement on the implementation process (i.e., systems, resources, tools, etc.).

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years Healthcare industry experience related to Project Management/Leadership - Multiple years of proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change.- Proven track record managing complex projects and or programs - Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience communicating with senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years in depth knowledge of Aetna's spectrum of products, services, and system capabilities.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
