Position Title: Senior Support Specialist, Grade F School/Division: School of Business Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time Description: Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean, this position performs a full range of secretarial duties at the senior level supporting senior leadership in the Dean's office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serves as a liaison between the Dean's office with faculty, department chairs, the Provost's office, and other University-wide offices. Assists with AACSB -related reports and surveys including salary surveys and business school questionnaires. Assists with preparing and processing faculty appointments, reappointments, promotion, and tenure materials. Assists with compiling and generating CTR -analysis for faculty personnel actions. Plans for external and internal communications for appropriate constituencies. Prepares and reconciles check requisitions for travel expenses for Zarb administrators (except Dean) and all Zarb Faculty. Processes purchase requests, check requisitions, one-time payments, and contracts. Monitors and logs the status of pending items. Assists with and coordinates activities for the Zarb Study Abroad program, various Exchange Programs, and the Dean's Business Scholars Program. Assists in preparation and dissemination of reports and maintaining accurate files. Assists with interviewing, hiring, and scheduling of student assistants. Assists with system inquiries and preparation of various data. Works with Degree Audit Reports, Ellucian Banner and Hofstra Web Systems. Assists in special projects, as needed. Performs other assigned duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skill and which are normally included within the above job title. Hours: Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm. Subject to bumping. Qualifications: Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and well organized. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Adobe Acrobat and Ellucian Banner.
