Position Title: Part-Time Audiology Clinical Supervisor School/Division: School of Health Sciences Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time Description: Reporting to the Coordinator of Audiology Services, under the Clinic Director, the Part-Time Audiology Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and mentoring students in a clinical setting, providing guidance in patient evaluations, and ensuring high standards of care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serves as Audiology supervisor to mentor and guide students in performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, hearing aid maintenance, and case management in an educational setting. Performs clinical student management and provides direct supervision of Au.D. Graduate students during introductory clinical practicum with a varied caseload across the age span. Provides service during flexible hours, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week; with a preference for Monday and Tuesday availability during this time. Provides constructive feedback and clinical guidance to students to enhance their professional development. Ensures accurate documentation of patient evaluations and results by students. Performs evaluations of students' clinical competencies. Edits and provides feedback on student written reports. Maintains client files including additional reports and notes not completed by students, revision of forms, and other related tasks as needed. Collaborates with academic faculty to align clinical training with program curricula. Ensures compliance with all clinic policies, procedures, state requirements and ethical standards. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Doctorate in Audiology required. At least 5 years of clinical supervision experience. American Speech and Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence ( CCC -A). Active New York State Licensure in Audiology. Current New York State Hearing Aid Dispensing License and prior dispensing experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Commitment to mentoring students and fostering a positive learning environment. Ability to maintain high standards of patient care and professionalism in the clinical setting. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and NOAH hearing aid fitting software system. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory abilities, excellent diagnostic audiology experience, a commitment to fostering student development, and a passion for high-quality patient care in an educational setting. Candidate must have excellent skills for record keeping of clinical charts/paperwork/case management. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in assessing Auditory Processing Disorders and/or electrophysiological assessment preferred. Experience with Pediatric assessment. Experience with Electrophysiology assessment, including auditory brainstem response and electrocochleography. Some experience with vestibular assessment. Ability to participate in community outreach as needed. Experience with Verifit/real ear verification systems and Electronic medical records systems.
