Position Title: Assistant Women's Basketball Coach School/Division: Women's Basketball (division) Office: Athletics, Women's Basketball Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time Description: Hofstra University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Colonial Athletic Association, is seeking a highly motivated individual for the full-time position of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the Head Coach in ensuring the program's success as it relates to the skill development and performance of the student-athletes, as well as the recruitment, retention, and conduct of the student-athletes. As all staff members are responsible to the policy, procedures and guidelines of the University, the assistant coaches must also directly report to the head coach and follow the job requirements specific to the particular assignments inherent to the sport. This position requires working weekends and holidays and attending athletic events as appropriate. Candidates must be willing and able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, Hofstra Athletics, the Colonial Athletic Association ( CAA ), and the NCAA . Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assists with the player development as it relates to proper technique, advanced skill instruction and competition strategy along with team building. Assists with evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes. Responsibilities include daily recruitment, communication with and cultivation of recruits. Communicating with AAU Programs and High Schools on a daily basis. Other responsibilities include coordination and documentation of official/unofficial visits.
