Position Title: Assistant Dean for Student Engagement School/Division: School of Business Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time Description: Reporting to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, the Assistant Dean for Student Engagement is expected to leverage organizational skills to utilize the resources of the school and the University to enhance the student experience and nurture continued community engagement. Working closely with the Dean's office team, department chairs, and faculty, the Assistant Dean for Student Engagement is expected to be detail-oriented in carrying out initiatives aimed at successfully recruiting and retaining students and deepening engagement across all stakeholders to enrich the community at Zarb School. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plans, schedules, promotes, and executes Zarb School programming, including, but not limited to seminars, conferences, socials, business club fairs, corporate visits and executive speakers' series. Facilitates the School's efforts to grow our community engagement through new programs and initiatives. Leads community programs including Zarb Summer Business Experience, Winning Women, Money and Me, and all high school programming. Manages the Dean's Business Scholars program for high-achieving business students; plans and executes programming while managing program requirements and serving as a point of contact for students; collaborates with Graduate Business Career Relations to manage student engagement for internship and career preparation. Manages Zarb Ambassador Program including student recruitment and event assignment to infuse the student experiences into prospective student events. Interfaces with the Director of Residential Education & First Year Initiatives to facilitate programming in the Zarb Living Learning Community. Collaborates with Zarb student organizations to facilitate collaboration among clubs and participation in Dean's Office events. Interfaces with Center for Career Design and Development to secure speakers for first-year courses, including BBA 100 and to connect Zarb students to potential recruiters. Assists in outreach activities to establish partnerships with community and government agencies to raise the Frank G. Zarb School of Business profile and increase experiential learning opportunities for students. Develops strategies and organizes initiatives to increase student participation in global experiences offered by the Zarb School. Assists in managing student scholarships. Serves as the Advisor to the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and manages associated activities to grow membership and engagement. Assists in academic advising for both undergraduate and accelerated degree students, as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of three years of professional experience in higher education administration with a focus on student engagement. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and survey management tools. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree preferred.
