Position Title: Adjunct Faculty, Spanish School/Division: Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences-Humanties Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time Description: Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences anticipates some opening throughout the 2024/2025 academic year and invites applications for Adjunct Faculty of Spanish in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Hofstra University. The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures welcomes applicants who can teach languages courses in Spanish from beginning level to intermediate level. Classes will meet face to face either on Mondays and Wednesdays or on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Times can range from early morning to late afternoon. The adjunct faculty member's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Acting as the instructor of record on a contingent, adjunct basis in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures for courses in Spanish, from elementary to high intermediate. Teach a range of Spanish-language courses, from elementary to high intermediate levels. Qualifications: Master's degree in Spanish or in a related field. Preferred Qualifications: University-level teaching experience preferred.
