GROWMARK, Inc. Grain Office Manager - Sunrise FS - Havana, IL in Havana, Illinois

  • Sunrise FS* is headquartered in Virginia, Illinois with branches in Mason and Cass counties. Sunrise FS has about 200 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 2,500 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, energy, grain, tires, irrigation, and retail. Sunrise FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.


Responsible for in-bound and out-bound grain movement.


Oversees weighing grain trucks in and out of terminal.

Performs grain inventories.

Schedules daily loadings of grain barges.

Calculates grain barge numbers.

Works with grain partners to figure arrival numbers.

Works with customers on daily deliveries.


Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.


Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in agriculture or the equivalent thereof, or 3 or more years of agricultural grain office experience to demonstrate project management, problem-solving and planning skills.

Normally requires a Grain Grading Certification.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

Must be willing to work extended hours beyond those considered “normal”.

Occasionaly lift 21-50 lbs.

Occasionally performs work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)

Occasionally performs duties around noisy conditions.

Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
