Essential Functions: Set-up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, drill, and/or test raw materials, parts, components and/or assemblies.

Education:

High school diploma or GED

Blueprint Reading

  • Precision Tools and Measuring

Certifications:

  • Forklift, if applicable

Quality Metric:

  • Scrap Dollars

  • Rejected or reworked tubes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department.

  • Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department.

  • Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better.

Introductory Level: Primary focus is learning the process

  • Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)

  • Understands, accepts, and supports vision and key business goals

  • Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe and clean workplace

  • Basic understanding, support and commitment to the team and continuous improvement

  • Resolves the problems at the lowest level possible

  • Identifies possible solutions when communicating problems

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)

  • Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance to include: Drill press, swage, hand-bending jigs, tubing benders, tube cutter, T-drill, and CMM.

  • Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with assistance.

  • Demonstrate ability to produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate.

  • Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.

  • Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs).

Qualified Level: Primary focus is performing the essential duties of the position

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 12 months)

  • Demonstrate ability to set-up and run all operations in specific department with little or no assistance to include: Drill press, swage, hand-bending jigs, tubing benders, tube cutter, T-drill, and CMM.

  • Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with little or no assistance.

  • Demonstrate ability to do basic prototyping of parts with little or no assistance.

  • Demonstrate ability to perform preventive maintenance on related machinery and/or equipment.

  • Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced without any assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
