CVS Health Application Development Manager in Hartford, Texas

Job Description

Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Prepares detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced programmer/analysts.

Required Qualifications

4+ years’ experience in application program development and systems analysis4+ years of experience with application development support software packages.4+ years of ETL development using Informatica Power Center with emphasis on the transformation of large datasets.4+ years of Power Center experience developing and supporting mappings, mapplets, worklets, parameters and schedules.4+ years of experience querying from Oracle, SQL Server and Data warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with UNIX shell scripting.Understanding of HTML.Understanding of Microsoft Access and ability to read and modify simple VBA.Ability to write complex SQL queries to review and validate all stages of the migration processes.Ability to analyze, query and extract data from SQL Server, Oracle, and Data warehouse source and target databases.Strong collaboration skills to work alongside the project team on data analysis, requirements gathering and design solutioning.Expertise in one or more programming language, development tools, and/or databases and the systems development life cycle, applicable to development organization.Degree in Computer Science Preferred

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
