Position Summary

CVS Health is hiring for a Sr. Manager, Cloud Engineering to contribute to and manage a team of cloud and Software Engineers working on user consumption tool enablement efforts.

This person will lead a team of cloud and software engineers and will be expected to provide guidance and project oversight for efforts they’re assigned to. This team’s primary responsibilities include developing software solutions to meet business requirements; creating solution concepts related to cloud security, authentication, access, and networking and related design diagrams within Google Cloud Platform; developing and deploying application components; and collaborating with cross-functional teams on user data consumption tool enablement efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, build and support the Enterprise Data Platform with a focus on doing so for user data consumption tools.

  • Ability to learn and navigate a technically complex and rapidly evolving cloud environment, while ensuring engineering teams’ solutions adhere to current and, at times, known future security, networking, and access policy.

  • Manage, coach, and advise team members to help develop and grow their technical expertise.

  • Inclination and capability to learn new technologies and provide support for them.

  • Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD

  • Collaborates with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure alignment in product deliverables and roadmaps.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering or related field.

  • 8 years of hands-on experience in architecture, design or development of enterprise applications and integration.

  • 8 years’ experience in a professional IT Role with experience managing and mentoring team members.

  • 8 years of experience in projects development & delivery.

  • 6 years’ experience in cloud engineering specifically within Google Cloud Platform.

  • 4 years of experience with Agile methodologies and/or SAFe Software Development Principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud technologies containers orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Vagrant.

  • Self-starter who can see the big picture and prioritize their work to make the largest impact on the business and customers vision and requirements.

  • Understand security threats and patterns and ensure adherence to all regulatory initiatives, HIPAA, PHI, PII, locational and contractual data restrictions.

  • Ability to identify a vision along with the plans, which need to be implemented to meet the end goal, evaluating situations, decisions and issues in the short, medium and long term.

  • Able to influence and present sound and well-reasoned positions to persuade individuals in a way that results in agreement or behavior change.

  • Experience in having architected, designed, delivered and operationalized scalable user data consumption tools in cloud native environments.

  • Have contributed to open-source projects or industry standards or hold patents in your area of expertise.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering or related field

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$124,372.50 - $247,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
