CVS Health Senior Application Developer (Clinical Operations) in Hartford, Connecticut

Position Summary

As a business team Senior Application Developer, you will participate in all aspects of the software development life-cycle which includes requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of the applications/components developed. These applications include Clinical Services team member-facing Quickbase applications (primary focus), websites, and application overlay technology solutions. As a team member working in a business support and application development environment, collaborate with core IT partners and other team members on translating business needs/creative designs into functional & technical requirements and subsequently into working application components.Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience including strong technical expertise in Quickbase technologies to include Quickbase API, JSON, and RESTful web services. Quickbase certification is strongly desired.

  • Experience in enterprise software development with a focus on data design/management/analysis and user interface.

  • Ability and motivation to quickly grasp changes in Quickbase technology and translate those changes into solutions for customers while remediating adverse impacts to existing solutions.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, deep interest to build the right products for our customers, and experience with highly responsive web applications.

  • Ability to lead projects with a technical focus; gaining requirements approval across multiple functions/departments.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with all target audiences.

  • Understanding of software engineering practices, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Ability and desire to quickly grasp new technologies and integrate new capabilities with existing skillsets to deliver creative, effective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Quickbase HTML/XML APIs

  • Quickbase Pipelines

  • Advanced Quickbase Formula Queries

  • Advanced Rich-Text Quickbase Formulas

  • Quickbase Code Pages

  • Quickbase Connected Tables

  • Basic HTML and some JavaScript

  • Jinja, Python

  • Experience developing Quickbase applications with web accessibility (WCAG)

  • Experience with cloud technologies and capabilities

  • Experience with enterprise reporting technologies, data connectivity and capabilities

  • Experience utilizing industry-standard DB technologies including relational and NoSQL/Low code databases, Power BI

  • Business continuity support - ability to identify path to root cause during issue analysis and coordinate exploration/remediation as needed with Production Support and vendor

  • Requirements gathering/documentation

  • Application/software testing for infrastructure upgrade support

Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,300.00 - $152,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
