Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide Actuarial support for Aetna’s Public & Labor and National Accounts segments. The individual in this role will be involved in a wide range of case level analytical projects and financial reporting. There will be opportunity to work cross functionally with multiple departments. The position offers strong career growth potential for the right candidate.

Primary responsibilities include :

  • Case level Commercial Medical pricing support.

  • Medical trend analysis.

  • Creating and enhancing customer reserve models.

  • Discount Analysis and developing customer PCRs.

  • Conduct various benefit studies.

  • Case level data analysis.

  • Support various ad hoc requests.

  • Building, automating, and enhancing internal tools.

  • The individual will also have a unique opportunity to work with Senior Leadership to develop and update financial performance tracking for Aetna’s Public & Labor segment.

Although this position is posted for a Credentialed Senior Actuarial Analyst, a candidate seeking a non-credentialed Sr. Actuarial Analyst role (without exams) and meeting the other criteria is also strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field.

  • Solid Communication skills.

  • Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1+ SOA exams passed

  • Experience in healthcare industry and Actuarial and data analytics

  • Access, Data Warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $122,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
