Position Summary

This position is hybrid and will require working from the office 3 days a week. Candidates will need to reside within driving distance of a CVS/Aetna office.

Under the direction of the Lead Director, the Staff Data Engineer is responsible for completing task for day-to-day regulatory activities and HEDIS data production.

As part of the Data Team, we are responsible for generating HEDIS Data and Health Plan data reporting relating to operational effectiveness for the Medicaid and Duals lines of businesses. This role includes assisting management by developing and maintaining reporting tools and processes as well as querying, analyzing data for trends and identifying root causes to recommend and support decision making. The Staff Data Engineering, participates in the planning, developing, and implementing Health Plan activities related to the HEDIS process, improving HEDIS data ingestion and customer satisfaction. This includes ensuring complete, accurate and timely reporting to regulatory bodies.

This role requires strong collaboration skills to work cross functionally with our internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to Quality, Operations, Compliance, Revenue Integrity, Technology/AIS, external audit groups and provider groups along with others.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of HEDIS & Quality experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with data querying and analysis with summarizations to present to various level audiences.

  • 3+ years of experience with data reconciliation processes and documenting data flow.

  • 3+ years of experience in creating and running complex queries using Python.

  • 3+ years of experience with MS Excel functions, including working with large data sets, creating standardized and ad hoc reporting often using vLookups, marcos and functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare data.

  • Experience with Power BI data tool desired.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment by effectively working with others.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and plan for prioritizing workload within tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills.

-SQL is helpful.

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $247,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
