CVS Health Financial Analyst in Hartford, Connecticut

Job Description

Our team leads CVS Health’s (Aetna) Federal Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) financial reporting and requires following our controls along with gathering, analyzing, and allocating general ledger data for inclusion in our filings. This role prepares the allocation of expenses and works with several teams across the enterprise including Statutory Reporting, Actuarial, Medicare and FEHBP. Our team constantly looks for ways to enhance our processes, controls and analytical tools. This role will need to focus on process improvement and tool enhancement. Job responsibilities:- Gather and analyze data from different sources (GL, business area, etc) necessary for the MLR filing. This includes: reviewing and approving data, preparing reconciliations and analyze data for reasonableness.- Automate, maintain and develop internal tools in support of the expense allocation and review process.- Assist in managing projects and processes to meet filing deadlines and internal goals.- Support audit requests by becoming a subject matter expert in our process, working with Pricing and Reserving teams, gathering detailed data and aiding in crafting responses.- Ability to engage immediately and willingness to lead high profile projects with minimal supervision.- Fast paced, multi-tasking environment with fixed deadlines and limited project plan flexibility- ad hoc research as necessary. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the transformation of Aetna’s financial reporting systems through various projects and work within the team. This position is Work From Home Flexible, meaning the team will be working on a hybrid basis both in-office and work from home. Therefore the ideal candidate would be able to commute to the Hartford, CT office at least twice a week.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 40,600

Maximum: 81,100

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

-2+ years experience with Accounting or Finance (Course work acceptable)-2+ years experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting, Finance, Data Analysis college majors desired but not required.- Financial or Actuarial background/acumen/Insurance Business Knowledge desired.- Thrives in fast paced environments, self-motivated- Experience with Oracle or S4 Hana
