Position SummaryThis position is within the Stop Loss actuarial pricing organization. As a unique product supported by a small team, this position will provide exposure to the end to end financials of the product. This role is not part of the rotation program but the person will work closely with experienced credentialed and non-credentialed actuarial staff. This person will become a subject matter expert on Traditional Stop Loss pricing and the systems that support it (Stop Loss Model, Renewal Tool, Experience Rating tool).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform monthly reporting and analysis on the traditional stop loss book of business

  • Maintain accuracy of data for experience rating process

  • Support the annual pricing process

  • Respond to underwriting case-specific inquiries

  • Maintain and develop enhancements to processes, tools and models used for above tasks

  • Extract and analyze data from SQL servers to support financial management of stop loss product

Depending on the skill sets and the interests of the candidate, there is the ability to supplement with additional analytical project work. The ideal candidate is adaptable and organized, has strong analytical and communication skills, and has experience communicating results of their analysis to a variety of audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience in analytics or finance or equivalent experience.

  • Attention to detail and problem solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, advanced Excel skills, and advanced analytical skills

  • Experience pulling data warehouse data

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$40,600.00 - $89,300.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
