CVS Health Analyst, Actuarial - Data & Systems (Remote Flexible) in Hartford, Connecticut

Job Description

This position can be in any Aetna office with an in office/work from home hybrid schedule OR work from home anywhere in the United States if not near an Aetna office. Must be willing to work EST hours at least one week a month. - Participate in the development and improvement of reserve estimates used by Actuarial. - Leverage Excel and macros to summarize initial reserve estimates and refine recommendations. - Communicate results and proposed changes to actuarial leadership. - Dive deep into the data to derive answers to questions about the estimates. - Maintain monthly reporting used in assessment of financial performance.- Participate in the development and improvement of predictive analytics models used by Actuarial and Underwriting partners to better understand and price commercial health risk, leveraging machine learning and other techniques. - Communicate results and proposed changes to actuarial leadership to gain buy-in to move forward on projects. - The ideal candidate is an actuarial student with the drive to learn and apply the latest actuarial techniques.- Demonstrates a high level of personal drive, technical acumen, and communication.#AetnaActuary

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 40600

Maximum: 81100

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have passed a minimum of one actuarial exam and currently progressing toward attaining the ASA designation- Foundational technical, analytical, and communication skills

  • One year or more of related actuarial work experience- Excel and macro experience- SQL experience


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
