CVS Health Actuarial Analyst - Value Based Contracting in Hartford, Connecticut

Position Summary

This position supports the financial models design, metrics, and targets for Value Based Contracts (VBC). The role will use Actuarial modeling to understand the value created and the amount of risk associated with various financial adjustments to support the development of new models and support expansion of existing models to new partners and geographies.

The role requires being able to interpret financial data and communicate concisely and clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role will oversee a broad range of key business elements, lead high impact projects to analyze and improve our VBC position in the market, drive business growth through new and innovative VBC arrangements, and collaborate with various business units and levels of leadership both internal and external.

Required Qualifications

  • ASA or at least 4 completed exams

  • 4+ years’ experience in an actuarial or finance role.

  • 2+ years of experience with MS Office, specifically Excel

  • Experience with VBA, SQL, or SAS

  • demonstrated leadership and project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytic skills, skilled problem solver

  • Proficiency with VBA, SQL, or SAS

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels

  • Ability to remain flexible with ever changing priorities

  • Strong collaboration skills working across various teams

  • Strong organizational skills

EducationBachelors in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,700.00 - $107,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
