Position Summary
CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy has an opportunity for a Product Safety Supervisor. The Product Safety Supervisor supports a team of coordinators who conduct detailed adverse drug event (ADE) reporting and reconciliation in a high volume, fast paced environment. In addition, the Supervisor interacts with individuals of varying levels within the company as well as specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers. The Supervisor participates and leads process improvements, team building activities, and drives employee engagement.
As the Product Safety Supervisor, you will play a direct role in interviewing and hiring new staff members, evaluating and reviewing employee performance, and coaching and motivating staff. You will also bring leadership skills which will enable you to direct and implement department projects.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of adverse drug event reporting and pharmacy operations experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary.
Additional responsibilities of the Product Safety Supervisor include:
-Managing the Product Safety Coordinator's day to day responsibilities including creating weekly schedules, reviewing and approving Work Brain punches, and ensuring appropriate allocation of staffing
-Researching root cause for Corrective Action/Preventative Action requests, maintaining a log of late AE submissions, and trending opportunities for staff retraining
-Managing the day to day operations of the adverse drug event (ADE) application
-Directing workflow to ensure that all adverse drug events and product complaints are submitted timely and accurately according to contractual obligations
-Overseeing internal and external reconciliation of adverse drug event and product complaint (PC) submissions
-Working with internal partners to proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiencies with the ADE application
Effectively provide team leadership, collaborate, and manage multiple priorities and projects
Work with strict deadlines and meet deadlines on a daily basis
Required Qualifications
-2+ years of experience working in a pharmacy environment
-1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a related environment
-3+ years of experience utilizing Windows based applications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Pharmacovigilance and Product Safety
Specialty pharmacy operations experience strongly preferred
Supervisory or leadership experience in a Pharmacy or Medical Insurance Verification environment
Experience leading a team of 25 + members in a production environment
Experience in a fast paced environment
Education
Bachelor’s Degree/Related experience considered with High School Diploma or GED
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 - $85,068.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
