The Role: Associate II DevOps Engineer

The Team: The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network. The technology landscape includes high-performance, high-volume applications as well as compute intensive applications, leveraging contemporary microservices, cloud-based architectures.

The Impact: Together, we build, support, protect and manage high-performance, resilient platforms that process more than 100 million messages a day. Our services are vital to automated trade processing around the globe, managing peak volumes and working with our customers and regulators to ensure the efficient settlement of trades and effective operation of global capital markets.

What’s in it for you:

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years of experience and a solid background in Java to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with development and operations teams to enhance our CI/CD processes, automate workflows, and ensure smooth deployment of our applications in the post-trade environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team based out of Gurgaon and to work with colleagues across multiple regions globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for Java applications.

  • Collaborate with developers to streamline application deployment and improve performance.

  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.

  • Help automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform or Ansible.

  • Implement best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Support cloud infrastructure management (GCP, AWS).

  • Work with Kubernetes (K8s, ARGO) for container orchestration and management.

  • Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in DevOps or a related role.

  • Proficiency in Java and familiarity with related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI etc.).

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes (K8s).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) is a plus.

  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
