Per year, across America, more than 3,500 new buildings sport the familiar Morton M.Job DescriptionThe Service Crew Foreman (SCF) will create a team that repairs projects with quality workmanship in a timely manner. The Service Crew Foreman must be willing to travel to other locations up to three weeks at a time to service customers due to storm damage.Provide professional leadership by creating a safe, organized work environment that is productive and enjoyable and treat all employees and customers with dignity and respect.Ensure crew members, including new hires, are fully trained and follow all safety and construction procedures.Coordinate efforts with the RM for continuous crew training and re-trainingConstruction Procedure Manual and Training ManualBest Building PracticesCommunicate with the customer on all contractual aspects of the projectOrganize materials and plan for the daily activitiesSelf-motivated with the ability to trouble shoot and to work through the repair.Working with repair team members to develop standard repair procedureWorking together with Field Service Specialist estimating hours and materials needed to complete the repair.Willing to travel with some overnight stayDisplay positive attitudeVast Knowledge of older existing Morton buildings and Non-Morton buildings.Lead by personal example and require cooperation by all crew employees in timely starts and stops.Perform and promote safe and proper use and maintenance of all tools and equipmentUnderstand and enforce all company policies and proceduresSafetyConstructionCorporateComplete all required paperworkAccurate reporting of time workedDOT driver's logVehicle mileage reportQualificationsMinimum of 3 years' leadership in the building construction industry requiredCarpentry, framing, post-frame construction, or equivalent experience is preferredApplicant must hold a Class A CDL license or be able to obtain one within 6 months of being hiredDesire to obtain OSHA 10-Hour, Equipment Operation and Competent Person Certifications once hiredDemonstrated ability to take initiative and provide leadershipParticipate in and lead our formal training programsAbility to measure human productivity and improve effectivenessEmbrace accountability and ownershipDemonstrated organization and planning skillsAvailable to work a flexible schedule (6am to 6pm) that will include Saturdays during peak construction periodsAbility to take directionProduce quality work in an efficient mannerAgree to comply with all of our safety processes and proceduresWillingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper mannerAbility to operate specialized safety equipment efficiently and effectivelyStandard weightlifting requirements - 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 poundsCapable of working in a physically demanding environment and at various heights (up to 40 feet)Possess good communication skills - both written and verbalThis position requires 40% travel, which includes overnight travel possibly up to two weeks at a time.Benefits IncludeExcellent medical / dental / prescription coverageLife InsurancePaid holidaysPaid vacationPaid sick timeBad weather pay401K OpportunityESOP Retirement Program in which you become an owner of the company Salary is $23.00 to $26.00 per hour based on experience plus bonus potential.
