AHRC New York City Direct Support Professional (DSP)- All Five Boro's ($18-$20/hr.) FREE MEDICAL & PAID TRAINING in Fresh Meadows, New York




Driver's License Required for most 3pm-11pm shifts positions!

Drivers license NOT Required for Overnight shift!

AHRC NYC is looking to immediately hire Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Full-time and Part-time positions in ALL FIVE BOROUGHS. The pay rate is between $18-$20 per hour depending on residence placement. Essential Responsibilities:

  • The oversight of all safety and health considerations

  • Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies

  • Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)

  • Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Personal or Professional experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), highly preferred

  • Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!

  • Drivers License Required for most day and evening positions!

  • Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.

  • High school education/GED or equivalent required.

  • Ability to stay alert and awake at all times; use a computer for data entry.
