L. L. Bean, Inc. Product Content Planner in Freeport, Maine

L.L.Bean is currently searching for a Product Content Planner to join our Marketing team. This position will be hired remotely, will eventually be based in Freeport Maine at our corporate headquarters. This important role supports the development and execution of L.L.Bean’s content marketing efforts, inclusive of seasonal strategy, messaging and exposure planning to drive business goals, meet customer needs, and realize the full potential of the brand.

Responsibilities: The Product Content Planner will support our seasonal planning process with a focus on analysis of product priorities to help in the development of seasonal marketing plans. This planner will also be responsible for in season planning through development of creative briefs to support key product initiatives across various platforms to meet the ongoing needs of the business. The planner will be expected to collaborate with various areas across the organization to build and execute plans.

  • Own the analysis of product priorities to help determine how our seasonal content efforts will support these priorities in a way that is most relevant to the customer as part of our full seasonal strategy.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization as well as other members of the content team to gather information to inform planning.

  • Develop content strategy briefs and kick off content efforts with Creative teams.

  • Leverage insights to build plans, inform the development of new content and optimize existing content.

Assume additional responsibilities as required.Skills and Qualifications:Education: BA/BS degree required/Master’s degree helpful but not requiredExperience: 3-5 years content planning or relatable experience

  • Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects

  • Highly organized and pro-active in finding (sometimes creative) solutions to issues

  • Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and diplomatically to a wide range of audiences.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing business environment

  • A positive team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and able to get quickly up to speed with business intelligence platforms (Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics)
