Watts Water Technologies, AERCO Brand Tool Room Supervisor in Franklin, New Hampshire

The Tool Room Supervisor is responsible for management of the resources that produce tooling for machining and assembly operations. This includes fixtures, cutting tools, and machine components. Manage Tool Room personnel and budgets.


  • Provide leadership for Tool Room employees, set expectations and goals

  • Ensure the tool room is compliant with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.

  • Oversee all aspects of in-house cutting tool and fixture manufacturing.

  • Co-ordinate resources within the Tool Room to ensure that all tools are produced efficiently, on time, and in line with quality standards.

  • Schedule and prioritize Tool Room work.

  • Establish technical best practices and standard policies and processes.

  • Provide technical expertise and shop floor support on all aspects of tool design and manufacturing.

  • Analyze and solve tool and fixture problems.

  • Support optimization CNC tooling and part programs for best productivity.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned


  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 2 year or 4 year technical degree is a plus


  • Proficient with CAD/CAM software.

  • Proficient in CNC programming.

  • Tool and fixture design expertise.

  • Familiar with EDM and tool grinding processes.

  • Strong knowledge of machining theory and cutting tool geometry.

  • Proven leadership experience (2 years minimum).

  • Ability to develop and work with outside resources.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office- Word and Excel.


This role supervises a Tool Room team of approximately 10 associates


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
