We’re looking for a Lead UX Writer who is highly motivated to work with our experienced team supporting Consumer Electronic Products in the Product Design organization. The team supports Product Design, guiding customers through their product onboarding experience and supporting them as they continue to enjoy their products and apps. You will work collaboratively with developers, engineers, product/project managers, legal counsels, regulatory specialists, and user experience designers to make our products easier to use. OPPORTUNITY:

  • Create various forms of customer-facing instructional information and app writing, authoring content for a global consumer base

  • Work alongside User Experience to write and review Design Documentation for our consumer electronic products understanding how products fit into the ecosystem

  • Collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, Marketing and key project subject matter experts to fully understand the product, its key audience, and any constraints that might impact a user’s experience

  • Advocate for the best user experience for the first-time use throughout their product user journey

  • Collaborate and edit Design Documentation as needed.

  • Maintain brand consistency relative to various out-of-box touchpoints

  • Participate in team status meetings, driving daily prioritization and communicating the health of the project(s)

  • Evolve your critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to guide teams through ambiguous user challenges and deliver great results

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • BS/BA or Masters degree in a related field (English, communications, UX Writing, Technical Writing) and 8+ years experience

  • Experience with InDesign and Acrobat

  • Strength managing deliverables and timelines for multiple launch projects simultaneously

  • Highly motivated, self-directed and thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrates confidence working collaboratively with cross-functional project teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must clearly communicate with team members, vendors, and management regarding program details and status

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end product development process is a plus

  • Agile / Lean experience is a plus

  • Consumer Electronics experience is a plus

  • High level of technical competency

  • Strong attention to details

  • Strategic thinking, project leadership, and team leadership

  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

  • Capable of mentoring less experienced writing team members
