Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of global sourcing strategies and global supplier network capabilities for Semiconductors to achieve key business goals: Time to Market, Cost of Goods Reduction, Lead Time Reduction and Supplier Business Continuity in ramp-up and ramp-down situations

  • Communicates commodity strategies across the organization, the Business Units and NPI Operations to ensure sourcing decisions and product development aligns with strategic supplier selections

  • Formulate negotiation strategy to proactively drive cost reduction with suppliers in a complex, high mix/ low volume environment to meet strategic, operational and financial performance targets

  • Total commodity ownership, including supplier relationship management in alignment with the needs of the business, the global supply strategy and specific commodity strategies. Inclusive of actively approaching the supplier market by means of investigating, screening, pre-selection of and negotiation with new or alternative suppliers for a product group/line of business

  • Support the negotiations of complex agreements with suppliers encompassing key program specifications and functional objectives

  • Responsible for total supplier performance: measure and manage vs. key targets, compliance to agreements and implementing improvement roadmaps to address gaps

  • Lead QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) and EBR (Executive Business Reviews) with suppliers & be able to effectively communicate with executive teams. Transform multiple and complex streams of information into simple, clear and concise terms to be presented to stakeholders

  • Partner with Product cost engineering to develop and maintain predictive cost models and standards for sub-assemblies and components. Enhance cost models and forward costing analysis tools. The models should include risk profiles, EOLs or ranges with associated probabilities and trade-offs & market sensitivity analysis.

  • Develop Total Cost of Ownership calculations.

  • Establish strong partnerships with the Contract Manufacturing procurement teams & lead oversight of product supply chain from an escalation stand point including capacity analysis, safety stock, flexibility & distribution network.

  • Domestic and international travel up to 15%

  • Lead market Intelligence and report on current market and economic trends, including raw materials, currency, productivity, labor inflation, tariffs, volume shifts, etc.

  • Routinely performs supply risk assessments, and drives mitigation plans accordingly, including setting up and working out of secondary and/or alternative supplier routes regarding the purchasing of strategically important and critical products/goods

Qualifications :

  • 5 -10 years of professional relative experience within a global supply chain & operations environment, preferably automotive.

  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or similar high technology manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated track record in early product cost estimation, either during concept development or idea generation phase, of product development cycle.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers.

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/specifications & Bill of Materials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Equivalent. Master’s Degree preferred.
