The Opportunity

The Senior Project Manager for EPC Complex Power Generationwillfunction in a senior-level project manager capacity. You will own the bottom-line for large EPC projects ($500 million to $1 billion) encompassing combined cycle, simple cycle, plant expansion, waste-to-energy, biomass, and fuel conversion. There is also potential to own projects in hydroelectric generation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Execute some of thelargest and most visible projects within Black & Veatch.

• Execute projects that have substantial impact within various global communities.

• Own a diversity of projects within the power generation spaceincluding both innovative and proven technologies.

Please note: This role has 25% to 50% travel to project and client sites. When not travelling, this role will be hybrid: 2 days per week remote, 3 days per week in-office out of any Black and Veatch office. This position will be based in the US, but we are open to assisting with relocation if needed!

The Team

Our Sustainable Generation solutions serve our clients to provide study level to full-scale EPC execution for sustainable power generation solutions such as Hydroelectric, Hydrogen and Natural Gas, Bio and Waste, Nuclear, and other thermal technologies. As a Project Manager you are the execution hub for our clients and project teams, providing leadership and alignment for successful sustainable generation projects. Our Energy & Process business is driven to meet clients’ rapidly changing sustainability needs in generation, storage, transmission, and distribution of safe, reliable electric power. Our business continues to invest in renewable energy to power the future and support BV’s vision of more sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities

Our project managers are responsible for the overall bottom-line performance of assigned projects.

• Actively promotes Black &Veatch'ssafety culture.

• Serves as the key resource for executive management advisory on overall project health.

• Oversees planning, developing, issuing, and progress tracking of all assigned EPC projects from contract execution through commercial operation.

• Works with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to identify and resolve problems or issues related to design information, schedule, material deliveries, change management, safety, and quality.

• Manages escalated problems or issues.

• Owns commercial recovery process and close-out.

• Manages the application of quality andcontrol procedures.

Management Responsibilities

Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.

Preferred Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience with power generation EPC projects including the ability to executecombined cycle, simple cycle, plant expansion, waste-to-energy, biomass, and fuel conversion projects.

• Experience successfully executing, from contract execution through commercial operation, at least one power generation EPC project above$500 million in revenue.

• Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
