This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.

Job Type: Full Time

Shift Available : Day Shift

Compensation: $18.00/hr

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Daily interaction with truck drivers of inbound corn trucks, serve as liaison between truck drivers and merchants involving fast paced accurate keyboard data entry.

  • Bin Management: Daily monitoring of bins for temperature and quality. Direct interaction with personnel in operations to exchange information.

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required, including, but not limited to, operator-based maintenance, cleaning of area and equipment, environmental equipment monitoring, and troubleshoot minor computer problems.

  • Monitor the unloading of corn trucks

  • Generation of truck scale tickets, troubleshoot minor computer problems

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety and food safety policies, ensure we maintain a sanitary work area including control room, dump bay and restroom, communicate expectations to drivers regarding no smoking and safety practices necessary for unloading - report concerns as appropriate

  • Identify and troubleshoot potential problems with elevator systems

  • Safely coordinate daily and emergency maintenance

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator

  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Basic computer skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word

  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Working knowledge of inventory systems

  • Experience in production or plant environment

  • Ability to operate and read instruments
